Description
The New Year Door
A magical door beneath Japanese maple trees gives Zumi and Ziko small glimpses of new-year celebrations: Chinese Spring Festival, Nowruz in Azerbaijan, Songkran in Thailand, and Matariki in Aotearoa New Zealand. They discover that calendars, seasons, and family traditions can mark new beginnings in different ways.
This personalized Wanderlings story includes your chosen name six times, inviting curious minds to notice, imagine, and read along with the characters.
The 22-page illustrated story includes a celebration calendar, a paper-door activity about the reader’s own family or imaginary occasion, notes for grown-ups, source links, and a glossary with pronunciation guidance. The fictional visits introduce examples of real celebrations while recognizing that practices vary among families and communities.
This is a personalized digital PDF book, not a physical book. By Susie Sarkozy. Part of the Wanderlings Collection.
